Only someone who is precisely familiar with the political environment and the decision-making processes of the political administrative systems can make a difference in the political environment: in Brussels, Berlin and the German federal states. Targeted use of public affairs tools - from lobbying to alliance building, right up to participation in public debates - is the only way to have your interests heard at the political level. Our mission is to make the students familiar enough with democratic decision-making and public affairs processes and instruments that they can manoeuvre the political playing field with confidence. With this, it is of key importance to the department that ethical benchmarks of public affairs are conveyed to the students. While it is basically legitimate to represent interests in democratic communities, this certainly does not apply to all conceivable methods.

Within the MBA Public Affairs & Leadership, fundamentals of political science, political theories, legislation processes and aspects of political involvement/representation of interests are dealt with, as the graduates? field of application is dedicated to the socio-political context.
