MBA Communication & Leadership

Curriculum


The MBA Com­mu­ni­ca­tion & Leadership programme is composed of nine modules and a thesis.

Management I
Basics

Introduces the world of com­mu­ni­ca­tions management, makes processes comprehensible and backgrounds clear. Participants in the Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Circle will learn about socio-psychologically based mechanisms and sharpen their com­mu­ni­ca­tions skills.

Communication Circle

Familiarises students with the fundamentals of economic thought. The module teaches students how the economy functions and how it behaves. Also covers business strategy and business law.

Management II
Accounting & Finance

FIntroduces students to the three crucial business areas of which com­mu­ni­ca­tions managers must have a firm grasp in order to take a leading position within a company: accounting, investment and finance.

Management III
Organization & Leadership

Prepares participants to lead a com­mu­ni­ca­tions department or division. Participants will gain insight into the principles of business management, organisation, and human resources.

Communication Management I
Basics

Introduces the field of com­mu­ni­ca­tions management, its business and background, its function and principles. This module gives the participants a systematic overview of what com­mu­ni­ca­tions management can involve, how it is organised, and which tools can be implemented.

Communication Management II
Thought Leadership & International Communication

A close study of various aspects of com­mu­ni­ca­tions management with which executives will be closely involved, such as public affairs, crisis PR, internal com­mu­ni­ca­tion, and change management.

Management IV
Marketing & Brand Management

Com­mu­ni­ca­tions managers must be able to deal firmly with a plethora of business disciplines, including marketing and brand management. This thorough exploration of the topic will be complemented by a project of your own.

Strategy Circle

Steering Communication & Strategic Planning

Participants in the Strategy Circle will become familiar with and learn how to apply the strategic fundamentals of successful com­mu­ni­ca­tions management, including planning and implementation of com­mu­ni­ca­tions strategies and measuring their success.
