Corporate Strategy

This module is an introduction into strategy, followed by deeper analysis of its environment, resources, competences, expectations and ambition of the strategic position. The module deals with corporate and business strategy and its implementation. Participants gain comprehensive understanding of strategic issues, the base of their actions as managers, consultants and/or executives.

Organisational Behaviour

Organisational Behaviour looks at techniques to improve motivation and communication, methods for developing and understanding successful teamwork, how to deal with power and influence and most importantly, how to analyse ones own behaviour in the workplace in order to succeed in the business world. It further provides an overview of organizational behavior as well as behaviour and understanding at individual, group and organizational level.

Managerial Economics

Managerial Economics takes participants through the concepts of perfect and imperfect competition, market regulation, pricing strategy and the importance of technology and patenting. At the end of the module, one should have a good understanding of how macro and microeconomics affect ones industry as well as business.

Accounting

Managers are expected to draw up an efficient budget detailing expenditure for the upcoming financial year. It is however equally important to review previous budgets and management decisions. This module takes participants through the critical areas of IFRS financial statements, final analysis, payment and depreciation, inventories and business combination.

Corporate Finance

This module looks at the key aspects of corporate finance. It will detail effects, sources of supply, long-term financial planning, mergers and acquisitions. Case studies will be utilised to illustrate concepts and to allow for detailed discussions. This module will provide a better understanding of the relationship between financial management and other areas of business.

Marketing

This module allows participants to understand both marketing as a science with specific focus on techniques and methodologies as well as to develop the creativity that highlights one brand against its competitors. The course focuses on new media and the increasing role of consumers in the marketing process. Case studies help participants to practise their management skills and improve their marketing experience.

Management Control

Participants will learn to analyse business accountancy and control systems. Corporate Control Processes such as the Balanced-Scorecard-Approach and the development of performance components enable the implementation of Module Management Control methods which are used to improve the company´s strategy.

Operations Management


The aim of this module is to familiarise participants with the essential operational aspects of companies which operate in highly competitive environments as well as with the major approaches and devices necessary for service delivery and sustained improvement. This course covers aspects of operational competitiveness, global approaches to improving and speeding up the value chain, analysis of performance management strategies and the development of an Action Plan.

International Business Law


Essential aspects of the world's major legal systems will be discussed. Participants will be lead through the primary sources of law and regulations. One will learn how to successfully resolve international business disputes and how to identify the critical aspects of contracts with international business activities.

German Law for HR Managers


German law is studied with regards to Human Resource Management. How to process applicant information? Who may have access to applicant information? What rights and obligations do employees have? With regards to termination of employment, what are employees entitled to with regards to Constitutional Law, Work Councils and Management.

Recruitment


This module deals with recruitment with an emphasis on the communication resources available to HR Managers, as well as topics relevant recruitment and assessment.

Development, Change & Leadership


Human Resources Managers must always think about the future and align their actions according to what workers needs may be in the future. Can we continue as before? Should we introduce new blood? It is thus important that HR managers have extensive expertise in organisational development and change. This module ensures that leadership and management remain focal points for HR Managers.

Strategies for HR Managers


The role of Human Resources is an increasingly important one, however, the influence of the HR department is often not seen as essential because its performance is difficult to measure. This module shows the latest performance reviews for HR departments and managers and illustrates its development from Payroll through to Business Partner.

Communication


This module introduces participants into the world of communication management assisting with clear concise communication methods. Participants will learn to identify psychologically motivated communication mechanisms and improve their presentation and negotiation skills.
