Scholarship programmes

The Quadriga University of Applied Sciences offers its students various scholarship programmes. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please contact the student advisors at Quadriga University of Applied Sciences Berlin first. Find out about the scholarship procedure here. In addition to Quadriga University of Applied Sciences Berlin scholarship programmes, various financing options are available for students in the MBA and M.A. degree programmes.

Financing by the employer

It is possible for studies at Quadriga University of Applied Sciences Berlin to be funded by the student's employer through several different sponsorship models. A contract guaranteeing partial or total repayment secures the employee for a specified period to his or her company. In return, the employer takes on responsibility for the tuition fees and additional costs of the studies, in whole or in part. Sponsorship offers the modern and innovative human resources department an ideal opportunity for staff development. Talents are purposefully and consistently promoted. Since the degree programmes at Quadriga consist of part-time degree courses, the funded employee remains a full member of the work force for the company. The sponsorship model calls on an employer's confidence in its employees and honours the established working relationship.

Financing through student/education loans

Students also have the financial support available to them in the form of so-called education or student loans, which are contracted by public or private sponsors. The main advantage of such loans over conventional bank loans is their lower interest rate. An education loan is usually granted without other collateral, as it is calculated based on expected earnings after graduation.

Financing through education funds

Education funds are offered privately and are a form of educational funding that allows for maximum flexibility, free from bank obligations. This covers living costs, tuition fees and international study. The repayment terms are negotiated individually and determined on the basis of expected future earnings. With education funds, interest and principal repayments are completely eliminated and a cap is put on the maximum amount of repayment.

Tax deductibility of tuition fees as training costs

A degree programme at Quadriga University of Applied Sciences Berlin is for the purpose of professional qualification in communications management and public affairs and is therefore legally considered as professional training. As a consequence, tuition fees at Quadriga University of Applied Sciences and other incurred costs, such as textbooks and periodicals, study materials and travel expenses, can be entered as a business expense in the annual tax return. However, in all cases, the expert information from a tax consultant or specialist solicitor in tax law should be sought.
